Tying Fishing Flies...

Been busy tying fishing flies to re-stock the fishing vest.  Started yesterday tying various fishing flies as well as re-trying some beat up Grasshoppers, and then closed out the effort with today tying several Olive Wooley Buggers and San Juan Worm Variants... Worm Clusters!  Cannot wait to give them a try!

Only One This Round But It Was a Nice One!

Only one this round but it was a nice one.  A Catfish that went for a BH Olive Wooley Bugger. Used the Switch Rod and a Strike Indicator set up.  Glad to have used the indicator; Catfish took the fishing fly lightly.  Barely even moved when it struck.  Measured the Catfish; went almost 21" in size!

Cy Miller Park Pond for Bass and Bluegill

Change of scenery today.  Stopped at Cy Miller Park in College Station while on the road.  The park has a small, half-acre pond by the Police Station.  Fished with the Three Weight Fly Rod and a BH Olive Wooley Bugger.  Caught seven small Bass and three Bluegill. Did see several decent looking Bass; none wanted our fishing fly though!

Back To School Again!

Windy day, decided to fish Plano East Senior High School's ponds.  Like that the buildings can block the wind for flyfishing.  Used a BH Antron Streamer and a BH Wooley Bugger.  Caught a Bass and a number of Sunfish/Bluegill.  A lot of fun on a Three Weight!
