Tenkara Fishing This Round Gets 25 Fish This Round

Was able to get a round of fishing between the rainstorms today.  Went with the Tenkara Rod and one fishing fly - the White Guadalupana.  So, with a stick, line, and a fishing fly fished the feeder creek that runs by Harrington Park in Plano and the pond at Suncreek Park in Allen.  Caught 25 fish this round; no Bruisers but still had a lot of fun!

Bass On Its Bed at Bethany Gets Caught!

Returned to Bethany after work Friday.  Hoped to get an underwater video shot of Bass on their beds and possibly some footage of a Bass striking.  Managed to get one on camera.  Not a Bruiser but it still counts!  Fun stuff!

Quick Trip To Bethany This Round

Been practicing fly casting the past few days at Bethany.  This round improved on the double haul and roll casts.  Even caught a Bluegill, a Sunfish, and a little Bass!  Fun stuff!

Bite Was On This Morning

Fished the morning bite at Frisco Commons. Trout were active, rising and feeding on the surface.  Brought the 8-WT Flyrod this time to help gain more distance on the cast.

Quickly caught a limit of Trout using a Size 12 Guadalupana.  Then, did some catch and release fishing... had catches using a Size 12 Guadalupana, Size 10 White Guadalupana, and then a Size 12 GRHEN!

Fun stuff... even better, made for a tasty Sunday Brunch!

Bluegill and Bass at Bethany This Evening

Tied a Caddis Antron Nymph and headed to Bethany Lakes for a go at the Bluegill.  As it turned out, the Bass preferred a White Guadalupana instead.  Missed one Bass, and then caught three Bass from the Main Pond.  Then, switched to a White Foam Rubber Spider Variant and started catching Bluegill and one more Bass on the surface!  Great top water action!
