Out and About This Round
Decided to try some other places to fish this round. Started at Russell Creek Park Pond in Plano. Was hoping to fish for Bluegill in their beds using the Size 12 COAF Damsel Fly. Ended up striking out.
Went on to the pond at Davis Library and struck out again. Did try for Bass in their beds but no takers. Also, tried a Bread Fly on several large Koi. No luck either.
Moved on to Oak Point Park Preserve in Plano; managed one little Bass on the Size 12 COAF Damsel Fly.
Went on to Allen and tried Kroger Park Pond (officially Bethany Ridge Park). Saw several Bass but no Bluegill; Bass were not interested in being caught!
Then, went across the street to Bethany Lakes and caught several Bass using the COAF Damsel Fly. Had to call it quits though but...
Made one last stop at the Feeder Creek that flows into the Shadow Lakes series of ponds. Managed a Bass, lost a decent Bass, and then caught several Panfish to include a Longear Sunfish, a Sunfish, and a Bluegill.
Liked the smaller Size 12 COAF Damsel Fly but be prepared for smaller fish overall.

Out and About Today
Nice day today. Decided to fish Bethany Ridge Park (also called Kroger Park). Caught little Bluegill using a Guadalupana and then a Zebra Midge.
Then, went across the street to Bethany Lakes. Caught one Sunfish in the canal; tried the Lower Pond, Main Pond, and Back Pond without a strike.
Finally, went to Davis Library in Plano and caught more Bluegill. Did see some Bass lurking but were unwilling to strike our fishing fly. However, one young fisherman caught a Bass using a Wacky-Rigged Plastic Worm!
Fun stuff!

Sunfish at Davis Library Pond
Stopped by the pond by Davis Library to see if fish were biting despite the cold temps. They were... Sunfish were taking a Olive Wooley Bugger drifted slowly! Was not able to fish for long but did manage five with one that went about 7"-8" in size! Fun stuff!

Out and About Today....
Had a break from work today. Decided to hit several places that we have not fished in a while - started with the creek by Harrington Park in Plano, then the pond behind Davis Library also in Plano. Next, was the Village in Allen, a new pond in Fairview, and then back to Bethany Lakes. No Bruisers but did catch a few fish. Also, good to see the water levels are up! Posted a short video clip of the outing.
