Ramblings About Fishing - Let's Talk Fishing - Episode 14

This round we talk fishing things - specifically, a DIY Inline Spinner and 3D Printed micro lures and then open up to a question and answer session for the audience to participate!

Inline Spinners work well in heavily pressured ponds. Downsize them to 1/16oz and lighter and you will be surprised the number of strikes you get.

Moreover, 3D Printing and lure making are an excellent combination for creating your own micro lures for ultralight fishing!

Even had Charlie - the Maltese Doggy, asserting his authority in the background at times.

TRWD Flyfest is a fly fishing event hosted by the Tarrant Regional Water District on the banks of the Trinity River near the Acme Brick Company headquarters.

It's free, it's fun, and there are some big trout to be caught in the River! We plan to be there tomorrow, and if all goes well, livestream the event for those unable to participate.

This round we talk more Bait Finesse Systems Fishing but focused more on what we have observed while using this technique in 2024.

So far, three limits of trout were caught fishing with BFS Gear. And, I restocked my lure making supplies as I was running short on inline spinner components.

I also made a simple blade lure from sheet brass and a single split shot. Prior to the Podcast, I caught two Bass with it and lost a third one that threw the hook.
