April 25, 2009 - No Repeat @ Stoney Hollow Park

Checked out the pond at Stoney Hollow Park in Plano. Hoped for a repeat of the last trip - 15 Bass on an Olive Wooley Bugger. No go this time. Only managed to catch one Bass. Had other strikes and saw several Bass chasing my fishing fly but nothing solid. Click-on DFW Fishing News for more fishing information in the Metroplex area. April 24, 2009 - Bethany Again.

Quick trip to Bethany Lakes again. Tried to get the Bass to strike while in their beds. Can see them easily in the shallows but only managed to get one to strike. May need to shift to Lake Lavon and try hitting the points for White Bass and Yellow Bass using the kayak. Click-on DFW Fishing News for more fishing information in the Metroplex area. Bethany Lakes AM

Stopped by Bethany Lakes this morning. No hook-ups but Bass were following my lure. Bass seemed to be near the pier and near the "pipe area" in the Upper Pond. Can see them on their beds. May need to switch to an "aggravator" type lure.

Cottonwood Creek Trail

Checked out the pond at Cottonwood Creek Trail. Fished a Black Wooley Bugger in hopes of Bass. No luck. Only light nibbles that were most likely from the small Sunfish in the pond. Water was stained from the recent rains.
