One More On a Buzzbait Tonight.

Stopped by Bethany this evening while running errands.  Restocked the tackle box with Buzzbaits from Cabela's; had to try one out before heading home.  Caught one Bass on a slow retrieve.  Able to call it a day!

Two Bass At Bethany, One Bass At Kroger Park... On Buzzbaits!

Was not able to test out the trailer hook this morning.  Lost the Buzzbait to a Tree Fish.  Switched to another Buzzbait rigged with a Fluke.  Caught two Bass at Bethany Lakes with the larger one going about 14" in size.  Then, went to Kroger Park and caught one that was less than a foot from the bank.  Went about 16" in size.  Fun morning!

Added a Trailer Hook to the Buzzbait....

Added a trailer hook to the Buzzbait in hopes of hooking up more on short striking Bass.  Went to Bethany Lakes to test it out.  Caught two Bass and missed four others.  Going to have to keep testing this out,... just to make sure that it does work!

Buzzbaits Do It Again!

Went to Kroger Park and caught a Bass on a Buzzbait this evening.  Then, went across the street to Bethany and caught a Bass (went about 15" in size) on a Buzzbait as well!  Had several more strikes but just could not set the hook in time.  May need to add a trailer hook to increase the hooksets.  Regardless, the two Bass caught this evening were larger than the others we caught on Ultralight Gear....

More Bass With Buzzbaits At Bethany!

Fished Bethany this evening using Buzzbaits.  Caught three Bass, lost two others, and had several short strikes.  Fun stuff...!

Went to Kroger Park this evening and caught several Bass.  Brought the same Baitcasting Rig and Buzzbait that we used to catch the Frog yesterday.  This round... caught Bass!

Baitcasting Rig, Buzzbait, and a Big Frog!

Fished Bethany this evening. Live music was good with a Country band playing in the amphitheater.  Decided to fish with an old Baitcasting Rig and a Buzzbait.  Had several strikes but no solid hookups.  Did hook and land a big Frog that struck the lure. Did not know that they liked Buzzbaits!

Continued a road trip that really had the Team wishing for a long weekend.  Passed by the Angelina River and was only able to take snapshot while passing by.  Really looked promising!

Hidden Creek (Tyler)

Was on the road today. Brought along the Tenkara Rod and looked for any opportunity to fish. Tight schedules made for a tough go at wetting line. Luckily, found a hidden creek along a jogging trail. Small creek, lots of brush, and tight access... Tenkara Rod worked great. Too bad, there were only little Panfish to catch. No worries... it is still fishing! Even more, Purple Damsel Fly worked while on the road, too.

Rooster Tail Works Again!

Evening trip to Bethany to closeout this TGIF! Caught mainly Bass but did get a nice Catfish that went well over 16" in length (estimate about 19"; ruler in the photo is 16" long). Funny thing... caught it on the same Rooster Tail we used earlier today - Chartreuse Rooster Tail. Given the Catfish meets the minimum 15" to post on 2011's COAF Fishing Leader Board, submitted a picture to the Board.
