Morning Quick Trip Using The Rooster Tail...

After a fun time catching them on the Hula Popper last night, decided to check if the Ultralight Gear and Rooster Tail combination would still produce at Bethany.  Went this morning and confirmed it does, catching several Bass and missing a few more.  Lotta fun but did notice that the water level is dropping.  We do need some rain!

Hula Popper Does Well Tonight!

Stopped by Cabelas and picked up a Hula Popper, then ran to Bethany this evening for a go at some Bass.  Had several strikes and misses... did catch three Bass and a Catfish on the Hula Popper.  Two of the Bass were little, the third one went about 18" in size.  Then, closed out the evening with a Catfish (about 18" in size, too)!  Fun stuff catching them on topwater lures!

Tenkara Fishing Still Does Well... Lost a Bruiser Though.

Took the Tenkara Rod to Bethany this evening and caught Bass, Bluegill, and Sunfish using a Foam Rubber Grasshopper, a Purple Damsel Fly, and an Olive Damsel Fly.  Of the three, the Olive Damsel Fly did best.  Worked the shallows and had a number of strikes/misses.  Did hook into a Bruiser Catfish, fought it for several minutes, and then lost it while landing it. Line broke off... hated losing the Bruiser, hated losing the Olive Damsel Fly!!

Jitterbug Keeps Working....

Hit Kroger Park and Bethany well after dark.  Caught one Bass and a Frog (second one this year) on a Jitterbug at Kroger Park.  Went across the street to Bethany Lakes.  Caught a Bass, lost a Bruiser, and missed more Bass.  Also, saw a Raccoon working the banks for food.

More Bass This Morning... Buzzbaits Are Working!

More Bass this morning at Bethany Lakes.  A slow retrieve and Buzzbait made it happen with several Bass caught and more missed strikes.  Two were likely Bruisers!  No worries managed to catch a 15" and 16" Bass to keep things interesting.

One More On a Buzzbait Tonight.

Stopped by Bethany this evening while running errands.  Restocked the tackle box with Buzzbaits from Cabela's; had to try one out before heading home.  Caught one Bass on a slow retrieve.  Able to call it a day!

Two Bass At Bethany, One Bass At Kroger Park... On Buzzbaits!

Was not able to test out the trailer hook this morning.  Lost the Buzzbait to a Tree Fish.  Switched to another Buzzbait rigged with a Fluke.  Caught two Bass at Bethany Lakes with the larger one going about 14" in size.  Then, went to Kroger Park and caught one that was less than a foot from the bank.  Went about 16" in size.  Fun morning!
