Cool Front Slows Things Down....

Cool front arrived last night.  Looks like Summer is nearing an end.  Front slows things down for us.  This round caught two Bass.  One went for a Spinnerbait; other went for a Senko!  Fun stuff!

Morning Trip Gets Several Bass....

Tough getting away this week.  Managed to fish this morning.  Caught several Bass!  Started with the Rooster Martin without luck.  Switched to an Orange Rooster Tail and was able to hook up with five scrappy Bass!

Three More Bass This Morning....

Made a modification to the Wooley Rooster Martin; went with a Size 6 Treble Hook this time.  Seemed like a better hookup rate compared to yesterday.  Caught three Bass; no Bruisers.  And, yes... it is still fun!

Fished Bethany yesterday morning and caught a decent sized Catfish, then missed a lot of strikes.  Finally, managed to catch a few Bass and other fish.  Went with Ultralight Gear and an Inline Spinner we call the Wooley Rooster Martin.  It has a Wooley Bugger dressed hook,  a Roostertail body, and a Panther Martin blade. Works well on Bluegill and Sunfish... looks like at least one Catfish liked it, too.  Fun stuff!

More Bass and a Panfish....

Fished the pond at Bethany Creek Park; had not fished it for some time. Brought Senkos and a Hula Popper.  Ended up catching three little Bass, then went down the road to Bethany Lakes and caught two more Bass and a Panfish.  One Bass went for the Hula Popper, else it was Senkos all around!

Three Bass Again This Evening

Caught three Bass again this evening.  Bite was steady at Bethany but had to call the trip short when it started to rain.  Caught one Bass below the Waterfall.  Then, noticed Bass chasing baitfish along the shoreline in the Lower Pond.  Managed to get two of them to go for a weightless Senko.  Largest Bass this round went about 15" in size!

Three Bass This Round

Fished Bethany this evening.  Caught two Bass on a Senko, and one Bass on a Spinnerbait.  No Bruisers but still a lot of fun especially when the Bass start "tapping" at the Senko!  Here is a link to a short video clip of today's catch - Video Clip. (Still having issues loading videos on Blogger).

One Bass at Lunch, and then Four Bass Before Dinner!

Fished Bethany at Lunch and caught a Bass on a Spinnerbait.  Could not leave it at one, so before Dinner, stopped at Cabelas to pickup more Senkos and hooks, and then fished the pond behind In-N-Out Burger (also known as Eagle Lake).  Slower action with four Bass caught and released before dinner!  Having issues with loading the video onto Blogger.  Here is a link to Today's Video.

Rainstorms Today....

Fished Bethany this morning right after it rained.  Only caught one Bass on a Spinnerbait/Senko Combination.  Later in the afternoon, during a break between the rainstorms, fished the pond behind In-N-Out Burger.  Caught seven Bass; all were caught using Senkos!
