Two Bass at Bethany; Missed Strikes at Auburn Springs

Fished Bethany this afternoon and caught two Bass using Senkos.  Then, rode a bike to Auburn Springs to fish the evening bite.  Had several missed strikes and no hook ups.  Need to try again in the near future. At least got some exercise in riding a bike to the pond!

Back to Bethany This Evening

Back to Bethany this evening.  Had fished the morning bite at In-N-Out Burger and Bethany with good success.  This evening went well, too!  Caught six Bass on Senkos.  Liking the current pattern!

Three Bass at One Pond, then One More at Bethany

Fished the morning bite at the pond behind In-N-Out Burger.  Caught three working a weightless Senko slowly.  Then, stopped at Bethany afterwards; caught one more.  Fun stuff... four Bass for this morning's round!

PS:  Do check out the Texas Rainbow Trout Fishing's Top 5 Lures and Baits for Community Lakes partner article posted by our Team.  Closing out the 2012-2013 Trout Stocking Season, we received over 150 reports and posted the final summary for the Season!  Looks like Super Dupers and Power Bait still rock!

Eight Bass at Bethany This Round.

Windy conditions made it tough to fish the Bass beds at Bethany like we normally do - sight casting.  Had to shift to blind casting.  When this happens, we switch to a Senko.  We caught one using a Carolina-Rigged Senko, then switched to a weightless Senko.  Caught seven more to make total of eight this round.  Fun stuff!

Bass On Its Bed at Bethany Gets Caught!

Returned to Bethany after work Friday.  Hoped to get an underwater video shot of Bass on their beds and possibly some footage of a Bass striking.  Managed to get one on camera.  Not a Bruiser but it still counts!  Fun stuff!

More Inline Spinners But... Bass On Their Beds!

Returned to Bethany with inline spinners.  But, could see Bass on their beds.  Had to adjust the retrieve and drag the spinner slow across the bed to get the first one to strike.  Then, switched back to a steady retrieve and caught some little scrappy ones.  Going to switch lures to adjust to the pattern change!

More Inline Spinners at Bethany

Fished the evening bite yesterday.  Caught (lost count but we think) eight Bass.  No Bruisers but still a lot of fun on ultralight gear.  Lost several of our homemade inline spinner to snags; tied on a Rooster Tail and caught Bass; then lost it... tied on another one and caught Bass.  Fun stuff!

Five Bass on Inline Spinners This Round!

Fished Bethany this evening.  Gotta like the extra daylight now that we "sprung our clocks forward"!  Action started out slow; used Red/White Tube Jigs for about 45" without a bite.

Switched to the Purple Wooley Rooster Martin and got a bite soon after.  But, it was another 30" before the next fish struck - Bass #2.  Bass #3 and #4 were caught one right after the other, and then another 15" passed before Bass #5 struck.

Fun stuff!

Headed to Plano East Senior High School's pond this morning.  Fished the Purple Wooley Rooster Martin inline spinner.

Caught five Bass at the High School, then stopped by Bethany Lakes and caught three more Bass!

Fun stuff... most were caught near the bank; all were caught using Ultralight Gear on 4lbs test.  Largest went 15.5" in size!

Glad to have got a round in before the rain arrived; now we will have to play it by ear as the next cold front arrives.  Anticipate the pattern will changes again!

More Bass at Bethany

Squeezed in a round at Bethany this evening.  Overcast and some rain and wind.  Regardless, Bass were active; hitting the Purple Wooley Rooster Martin!  Caught several, lost one, and missed some strikes as well.  Fun stuff!
