Green LED Fishing Light - Round 2

Been tinkering with the Green LED Fishing Light we made last year.  Made a modification to the battery pack; went from four AA batteries to one 6V battery.  Much easier to work with one battery!

Going to make another one; plan to use a 9V battery; just waiting for components to come in. Stay tuned... and as always Good Luck and Good Fishing!

Another Delay...

Other commitments have been making it tough to go fishing lately.  Another cold front does not help.  Made even worse staring at fishing gear instead of using them!

Two Limits at Waterloo This Time

Back for one more go at Waterloo.  Brought a Buddy along and fished with COAF Guadalupanas.  Both of us limited out with a lot more missed strikes than hook sets!  Fun stuff on a warm January day!

Limited Out Waterloo Again!

Short on time and itching to wet a line; headed back to Waterloo in Denison for a limit of Trout. Lucked out and managed to get a limit using a COAF Guadalupana!  Pattern was different; had to change the retrieve several times.  There was not clear pattern that worked... fast, slow, wait so many counts.  Still had a great time!

LLELA and then Waterloo This Round

Checked out LLELA this morning.  Struck out but did see others catching Trout.  Looked likes a few nice sized ones mixed in with the Stockers! Seemed like the PowerBait Power Worms were the ticket.

Afterwards, headed to Denison to have some fun catching tonight's dinner!  Limited out using a Size 10 COAF Guadalupana.  Had to try different retrieves and adjust when the Trout started getting picky.  Fun stuff!

Back to Waterloo... COAF Guadalupana Does Well!

More fun at Waterloo in Denison.  Missed the Youth Trout Derby but did not miss out on the stocked Trout!  Windy day but the Four Weight Rod did its job; limited out using size 14 COAF Guadalupana!  Fun stuff!

Gotta Keep Our Day Jobs...

Gotta keep our day jobs, so lately it's been tough getting out to go fishing.  No worries; there is always something to do related to fishing.  This time, why not make a few fishing flies!  Here is one COAF Guadalupana Fishing Fly tied tonight.  Hope to use it again some time in the near future... possibly this weekend!

Fished Central Park Pond in College Station

Fished Central Park Pond this afternoon.  Was in the area, so decided to fish the pond in College Station.  Heard the pond is stocked weekly (or was it bi-weekly) with Trout!

Bite was slow but did manage to get a couple of strikes.  Just could not close the deal and land them.  Did see others catching Trout and an occasional Catfish!  Fun stuff... from the looks of them, the Trout are bigger than the 9"-12" Stockers we have normally been seeing!

Waterloo and the Guadalupana Do Well This Round

Went to Waterloo Saturday afternoon.  Fished the four weight fly rod and a COAF Guadalupana in a Size 12.  Caught and released a number of Rainbow Trout.  Kept five to make a limit.  Did see others hooking up on Silver Super Dupers. Nice day to go fishing!
