The Team had a fun time yesterday catching Rainbow Trout. Here is a photo of one of the Stockers caught; this is also the trout that made the cover of our magazine Stocker Trout Fishing!

Received an update from the Team... limited out at Waterloo!
Overall, it looked like a number of fishermen limited out. Bait seemed to outdo lures. No worries, Good thing our fishing buddy figured out the pattern this round and had PowerBait ready to go!
After several temp fixes to broken braille lines to the cast net, finally took the time to replace them all. Hot day but got it done! Took slightly longer… added an extra braille line on the fly when I noticed a portion of the net was drooping lower than the others!
PS: One change to the fix for the next net. I would attach the new braille lines next to the old ones, and then cut the old braille lines. No measuring needed!

Saturday morning... Looks like the rain is letting up. Checked the local ponds and noted water levels are up.
Have not heard from the Team about the action at Bethany Lakes but will post an update as soon as they report in.
That said, here is a picture showing the water is flowing at Bethany Creek Pond (just up the road from Bethany Lakes)!

PS: City of Denison is hosting a Trout Derby today at Waterloo Park Pond! For more info, go to the city's website.

Happy New Year to our Readers!
2015 starts off with cold temperatures and freezing rain which has the Team indoors and staying warm. Hope the freezing rain delay does not last too long.
For now, here is a summary of this Season's action - "Texas Winter Trout Stocking Summary for 2014-2015"!

Evening reports from the Field Team indicates two Trout were caught. One went for a Silver Super Duper; other went for the COAF Griffith's Gnat.
Key notes from today were:
Video below shows one Trout caught on a Super Duper; other caught on a COAF Griffith's Gnat:
Trout were liking inline spinners - specifically, Rooster Tails. Local Trout Derby was winding down but the trout were getting active. Rooster Tails as well as Power Worms were favored lures and baits.
Yours truly opted for Bait Finesse Systems style fishing casting a 1/16oz Rooster Tail to trout lurking mid-pond.
Fun times!
