Fished Bethany Lakes' Lower Pond this evening. Caught a 13.5" Bass and a couple of Bluegill flyfishing a White Foam Rubber Spider Variant.

Fished Winn Park Pond in Farmers Branch this afternoon, and then Bethany Ridge Park Pond back in Allen this evening. Fished Bethany Lakes this morning. Caught two small Bass, hooked another Bass but lost him when landing, and caught a number of Bluegill and Sunfish. Bass were hitting on a Wooly Spider - Bead Eye. Went back to Bethany Lakes this evening. Caught a Sunfish on a Wooly Spider Clouser and lost a Bass, breaking off my fishing fly. Cut the trip short and tied more Wooly Spiders. Bethany Lakes/Wooly Spider Clouser - September 21, 2008

Fished Bethany Lakes this morning. More of the usual except hooked and lost a nice Bass. Was flyfishing a variant of the Wooly Spider; modified by adding weighted eyes and tied Clouser-style.

Calling it a Wooly Spider Clouser. Was using a 4lbs test tippet and subsequently broke-off. Switched to the Foam Rubber Spider variant and caught Bluegill/Sunfish. Pictures posted below.
