No Bruisers This Round

Brought Trout Magnet Jigs and an Ultralight to fish Bethany this evening.  No Bruisers this round; mainly little Sunfish and a Bluegill or two.  No worries... still beats working!

Clear Lake Park This Round

Fished Clear Lake Park on Lavon yesterday.  Brought the kayaks and trolled a White Roadrunner and a Red/White Crappie Jig.  Caught and released 30+ fish - all were undersized White Bass except for one Yellow Bass.  Been a while since we been to Clear Lake Park; will likely be back again!

Jigs and Ultralight This Round

Took Jigs and an Ultralight this morning to Bethany Lakes.  Wanted to see how the Trout Magnet Jigs we bought last Trout Season would do.  Ended up catching a 7" Shellcracker, and then missed several Bass that threw the jig.  Ended the outing with four Sunfish caught from the Canal.  Good to see the Trout Magnet worked, especially when used with Slip Bobber!

Three Sunfish This Round

Caught three Sunfish this round; had several other strikes but missed them.  Oh well... still was fun.  Did see a nice Bass caught by another fisherman though.  So they are there lurking.

Struck Out This Round!

Fished Bethany this evening.  Had several missed strikes to include a Bruiser that went for a Jitterbug.  Slow reflexes, not paying attention,... does not matter it was a miss.  Till next time.

Another Round at Ticky Creek!

Fished Ticky Creek for another round of kayak fishing for White Bass.  Worked the area off the beach this time; caught undersized White Bass and no Keepers this time.  Oh well, better luck next time!

More Kayak Fishing at Ticky Creek!

Went back for more kayak fishing at Ticky Creek; more White Bass but no Keepers this time.  Did get a few action shots of the pole bending when the fish struck while trolling!  Fun stuff!

Three Keepers at Ticky Creek This Time!

Made it back to Ticky Creek and took the kayaks and fished the Point.  Caught White Bass with three Keepers this time!  Also, saw a lot of insects floating on the surface.  Noticed little Catfish feeding on them.  Cool stuff!

Back to Ticky Creek!

Took the Kayaks out to Ticky Creek this round.  Really nice day with minimal winds, making for an easy paddle.  Trolled with Crappie Jigs.  Managed to catch three White Bass; only one was a Keeper though.  Other two were undersized.  Fun stuff!

Topwater This Time

Fished Bethany yesterday evening.  Went with a Jitterbug and an old Abu Garcia 5000 Reel.  Managed to get three Bass to take; did lose several others that threw the lure.  Liking the topwater action!  Short video of the fish; no action shots this time.  PS: Tried a Heddon Torpedo; no hits on it.  Looks like the  Bass liked the slow steady wobble of the Jitterbug!
