February 21, 2009 - Trout Derby @ Towne Lake Update.

Fishing buddy and I participated in the Trout Derby at McKinney's Towne Lake. Large crowd with tight quarters did not hold us back. Able to limit out on Trout. Fished the bottom using Corn. Able to land one, switched to Bread without a strike, changed bait to Orange Powerbait. Success - remainder were caught on Powerbait. Used the Carolina-Rigged Corn set-up described in our other webpage. Check of stomach contents showed empty stomachs for all but two Trout. Of the two, one had Corn and the other had Orange Powerbait. Fun time with a lot of action. Even saw a nice looking Bass caught! Today's Pictures.
