First Fish of the Day
Bass on the KastKing Kestrel BFS with a one gram trout magnet
What this clip was about
First Fish of the Day! Caught a bass on the Kastking Kestrel BFS Reel. Went for a one gram trout magnet. Awesome start to a fishing quick trip!
Starting Strong on Light Tackle
There’s something special about the first fish of the day, especially when it comes early on a quick trip.
I was running the KastKing Kestrel BFS reel and decided to go with a one gram trout magnet. It didn’t take long before a bass decided it looked like a meal. That combination of light tackle and a tiny bait just works. You feel everything, and when the fish hits, it’s pure excitement.
Quick trips don’t always produce, but when they start like this it sets the tone for the whole outing. Ultralight and BFS fishing continue to be some of my favorite ways to get on the water. Small baits, light gear, and the chance for a fun fish right out of the gate.
See you on the water.
