Tied a variant of the Griffith's Gnat and fished Auburn Springs this time. Had a few strikes and misses, and then started to connect. Little Bluegill but still fun catching on a Dry Fly!
Thanks Eddie! For a place for Pan Fish in our area would suggest Kroger Park (Bethany Ridge Park) in Allen and Russell Creek Park in Plano. Give it a few more days of warm weather and looks for their beds. Then, an ultralight with a small jig or inline spinner would work. On the fly, go for a Size 12/14 Foam Spider or Dry Fly like a Griffith's Gnat. For Bait, will defer to others for suggestions, but have seen others do well with nightcrawlers (small pieces). Good Luck!
