April 5, 2009 - Sunfish on a BH Pheasant Tail Nymph!

Cold and windy with temps in the high 40's this morning. Decided to fish a Bead Head Pheasant Tail Nymph to scout for Sunfish. No luck at the ponds at Haggard Park and Suncreek Park in Plano and Allen, respectively. Did catch several Long-Eared Sunfish in the creek by Harrington Park in Plano. Fish ranged from 5" to 6" in size and struck the fishing fly on a slow retrieve using short pulls on the flyline. Click-on DFW Fishing News for more fishing information in the Metroplex area.
