Mobile Fishing Livestream 148 (Spotify)
Happy New Year, 2026! I kicked off the new year the best way I know how—with a mobile fishing live stream, rod in hand, ready to chase some bass on the fly. This session was all about starting fresh, sharing techniques, and celebrating the little wins that make fishing so addictive.
Right from the start, it felt great to be back on the water in 2026. I called it the "mobile fishing live stream" because I moved between spots, adapting to conditions and chatting with viewers along the way. The community energy was strong—viewers jumping in with questions, tips, and encouragement made every cast more fun.
I focused a lot on fly fishing for bass this time. Techniques varied based on the target, but observation was key. Fish behavior changes with the seasons and weather, so reading the water and adjusting on the fly (literally) is essential. Polarized glasses were a game-changer for spotting fish in the clearer areas—cutting glare and revealing cruisers I might have missed otherwise.
Gear talk was a big part too. I showcased my setup, emphasized the right fly making all the difference, and spent time on the versatile Crackleback pattern. I encouraged everyone to take up fly tying—learning that pattern can open up new possibilities and boost your success rates.
There were challenges, of course: missed opportunities, tricky conditions, but that's fishing. Patience, persistence, and celebrating the small victories (like a solid hookup or a perfect presentation) keep it enjoyable.
This live stream was a reminder that fishing is about the journey—the learning, the community, and the joy of being out there. Whether you're tying flies, exploring new spots, or just watching from home, there's always something to celebrate.
Listen/watch the full session for all the casts, catches, and conversations. Here's to a great 2026—more adventures, more fish, and more fun ahead.
