The rain finally passed, so I grabbed the fly rod and headed to the local pond. It was a slow start, but after some patience and a few fly changes, I managed to luck into a handful of nice bluegill and sunfish!
There’s nothing quite like the take on a fly and the light tug of a sunfish or bluegill on the fly rod. Simple, peaceful, and always fun.
Post-rain fishing just hits different. The fish seem extra hungry once things settle down.
